Jakarta Garden City Supports the Covid-19 Vaccination Program

Jakarta, June 16, 2021 – As part of its commitment to supporting the government’s Covid-19 vaccination program, PT Mitra Sindo Sukses, the developer of Jakarta Garden City township and a subsidiary of PT Modernland Realty Tbk., welcomed the initiative of the Covid-19 Task Force of RW 14 Jakarta Garden City, East Cakung, in collaboration with the East Cakung Health Office, to organize a mass vaccination program for residents of East Cakung Subdistrict in RW 14, Jakarta Garden City Housing Estate, East Jakarta.

Held at the Jakarta Garden City Club House, the Covid-19 vaccination program took place over three days, namely on June 16, 17, and 18, 2021. Approximately 1,000 residents participated in the mass vaccination program. During the activity, residents strictly followed health protocols while waiting in line for their turn to be vaccinated. After receiving the vaccine, residents were also reminded to continue observing health protocols by wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, washing hands with soap and running water, and avoiding crowds whenever possible.

“We fully support the government’s Covid-19 vaccination program. We hope this vaccination effort can quickly control and overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. In that way, community activities can return to normal, the economy can recover, and the property business can regain momentum. Health protocols will also continue to be implemented throughout Jakarta Garden City as part of adapting to the new normal,” said Togu Pangihutan, General Manager of Town Management & High Rise Jakarta Garden City.

“We continue to coordinate and work closely with the Jakarta Garden City Covid-19 Task Force in socializing the measures that must be taken to break the chain of Covid-19 transmission,” said Aan Afdi, Head of the Covid-19 Task Force of RW 14 East Cakung.

Meanwhile, Acep Edy Setiawan, Head of RW 14 in East Cakung Subdistrict, expressed his appreciation to the management of Jakarta Garden City for facilitating the program so that the Covid-19 vaccination drive could be carried out successfully.

Helen Hamzah, Director of Marketing Urban Development at PT Modernland Realty Tbk., added that Jakarta Garden City is ready to seize every opportunity amid the pandemic. According to her, even in difficult conditions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, there are always opportunities that can still be captured.

Jakarta Garden City is also prepared to respond to changing public preferences in choosing residential properties as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of the new normal. People now tend to prefer homes that support work from home (WFH), study-from-home activities, and a healthy lifestyle. “The project we are developing strongly supports working and studying from home because it is equipped with high-speed internet access and consistently promotes a healthy lifestyle,” said Helen Hamzah.

The township-scale project environment also strongly supports a healthy lifestyle. Of the total 370-hectare Jakarta Garden City area, 30 percent is maintained as green open space. It also features a 15-hectare lake complete with a 7-hectare lakeside garden, making Jakarta Garden City a green and pleasant environment with clean and healthy air free from pollution. As a result, residents can enjoy healthier lives, both physically and mentally.

The neighborhood environment and cluster building layout within Jakarta Garden City are also designed to be comfortable and lush. By adopting a green and environmentally friendly concept, shaded parks connect the blocks within each cluster, complete with jogging tracks and children’s playgrounds.

A private clubhouse with a swimming pool and fitness center is also available within the cluster to support a healthy lifestyle. Managed by a professional estate management team, the cluster environment is neat and clean. In addition, a 24-hour security system and a single-gate access system provide greater safety and comfort.

These homes are intended for those who aspire to a balanced lifestyle and see homeownership as a symbol of stability and simplicity. “By adopting an environmentally friendly home design, each house is built with excellent ventilation and natural lighting, making it energy efficient. Air flows freely through wide window openings, creating homes that are healthy, cool, and comfortable,” said Helen Hamzah.

In addition, this township-scale project is equipped with various supporting facilities such as AEON Mall Jakarta Garden City, the Food Garden culinary area, educational facilities, a modern market, commercial shophouses, healthcare facilities, and others, all of which can be reached within walking distance. These amenities contribute to a healthier environment for both the area and its residents. In the near future, IKEA, the Swedish home furnishing retailer, is also set to open at Jakarta Garden City.

Jakarta Garden City continues to make various efforts to encourage property sales during the pandemic, including offering a range of attractive sales promotions such as discounts and cashback.

For example, a 20 percent discount is being offered for the purchase of precast houses in the New Shinano Precast Cluster, which are marketed starting from around Rp2 billion. Meanwhile, purchases of houses in the La Seine Precast Cluster, which are marketed starting from around Rp1.7 billion, are also offered a 7 percent discount. Buyers of precast houses also receive bonuses in the form of three 1 PK air conditioning units and a 40-inch LED TV.

In addition, to celebrate Jakarta’s 494th anniversary, property buyers at Jakarta Garden City during the month of June have the opportunity to receive a cash bonus of Rp30 million. “Take advantage of these various promotions now to own a property at Jakarta Garden City before they run out,” Helen Hamzah concluded.
